Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker is enthused by the development of Spurs academy graduates Harry Kane, Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb this season.

Kane, Mason and Bentaleb have been a constant presence in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven in recent months and their assured performances have propelled Spurs to seventh in the league table as they attempt a return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2010/11 season.

All three are products of Spurs youth academy and have been central to Tottenham’s fortunes this season. On the back of their performances, Kane and Mason have earned a spot in Roy Hodgson’s England national squad for tonight’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania, which will be followed by a friendly against Italy on 31st March.

Meanwhile 20-year-old Bentaleb has been a regular in the Algeria national team, having represented the Desert Warriors at the 2014 World Cup as well as at the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.

Walker is pleased with the development of the trio, not just their game but especially their attitude, and expects them to achieve bigger things in the future.

“Harry’s had an incredible season and keeps banging the goals in, Ryan has a very mature head on his shoulders to play in the centre of the park and Nabil alongside him has been superb”, the 24-year-old said in an interview with the club site.

“For me, he’s a top-class player and it’s scary to think how good he might be.

“They all keep their feet on the ground and that’s great to see.”
