Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn has vowed to hand more young starlets their debut for the club before the end of the season.

The Whites are safe from relegation worries in the Championship, but sitting 13th, too far from the playoffs to make a realistic late season push for promotion.

Redfearn though does not want to spend the remainder of the season experimenting and is keen for Leeds to finish in the top ten to build momentum to take into next term.

He will though look to hand further youngsters their debut, with Kalvin Phillips and Lewis Walters two such starlets knocking on the senior team door.

"I think so [that there will be another couple of debuts before the end of the season]. The opportunity will present itself, there's no two ways about it", he told BBC Radio Leeds.

"What I want to do is give them a proper opportunity.

"It doesn't matter when they come in because they will be here for years to come."

And the 49-year-old, keen to stress his desire to continue blooding youngsters, added: "They'll get their opportunity."

Leeds are next in action after the international break at home against Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road, while then a trip to face Wolverhampton Wanderers comes just two days later.
