Javier Hernandez, on loan at Real Madrid from Manchester United, admits he is not happy with his current situation at the Bernabeu and needs to be believed in.

The Mexico international was snapped up by Real Madrid last summer on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United, but he has struggled to make an impact in the Spanish capital.

Hernandez has played the full 90 minutes in La Liga only once, scoring in the game against Levante and providing two assists. His other outings have been restricted to a handful of minutes, with ten minutes, nine minutes, 17 minutes, nine minutes, ten minutes and eight minutes making up his last six La Liga appearances.

Hernandez is disappointed and told FOX Sports: "My situation is frustrating.

"I participate and give everything on the training pitch, but once the match starts my contribution is minimal.

"I belong to a team, but I am not a major part of it."

Hernandez, who made an instant impact for Manchester United when snapped up in 2010, feels that all he needs is the belief and backing of a manager.

"I need people to believe in me", the Mexican pleaded.

"I want to at least have the chance to prove whether I'm good or not."

The striker readily admits that his situation was also one of frustration at Manchester United last season, but claims he has always been surrounded by people who believe in his abilities.

He said: "Fortunately there are always people on my side who support me. The important thing is that there are opportunities out there and trust is shown in you.

"Eventually something positive will happen, but this is now my second frustrating year."
