Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz has showered Paul Pogba with praise, believing at the present moment in time he is the best French player in world football.

Pogba turns out for Juventus at club level, but has been strongly linked with a number of clubs, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid all thought to be interested if the chance to buy him arises.

Juventus may have to fight hard to keep hold of the 22-year-old and Luiz would be likely to be delighted if Pogba landed at the Parc des Princes this coming summer.

The former Chelsea defender told French TV programme Telefoot: "Pogba is the best French player at the moment.

"He is an incredible player", Luiz added.
