Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is setting his sights on his side winning what he feels are four "big" games in April, a clutch of fixtures which includes matches against title contenders Chelsea and Manchester City.

Mata scored both Manchester United's goals before the international break in a crucial 2-1 win over top four rivals Liverpool, a result which has given the Red Devils breathing space in the race to claim a Champions League spot.

The Spaniard does not want his team to let up however and is determined they should try to win all their four Premier League fixtures in April.

Mata wrote on his personal blog: "We are in the last stage of the Premier League, with just eight weeks ahead: eight crucial games to determine where we will finally stand on the table.

"Personally, I think setting our goals game after game is the right thing to do, trying to win as many of them as possible and keeping the momentum following these two wins versus Tottenham and Liverpool.

"I check the calendar and I see four big games for us in April: Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Everton.

"All of them are big clubs and we want to show that we can beat them, getting close to our goal and also making our fans happy", the former Chelsea star added.

Manchester United currently boast 59 points from 30 games in the Premier League and are on course to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Of the Red Devils' remaining eight games, four are at Old Trafford and four are away.
