England manager Roy Hodgson says that Tottenham Hotspur sensation Harry Kane will start in tomorrow evening's friendly against Italy.

Kane came off the bench in Friday night's 4-0 Euro 2016 qualifying win against Lithuania and scored with just his third touch of the match.

Now, with Danny Welbeck and Raheem Sterling missing the friendly against Italy through injury, Kane will be handed a start by Hodgson in Turin.

And the Three Lions manager feels that the 21-year-old deserves his opportunity to shine in the international spotlight.

Hodgson was quoted as saying by the BBC: "Harry deserves his chance.

"This is a chance for some of the squad players to show they are good enough", Hodgson added.

Kane has hit the back of the net 29 times for Spurs so far this season, despite not having been a regular under Mauricio Pochettino at the start of the campaign.

Both England and Italy are unbeaten since last summer's World Cup, a tournament which saw the pair clash in the group stage and the Italians emerge victorious.
