Former Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles feels that the Reds’ have a great chance of winning the FA Cup this season and they can also finish the league campaign with a flourish.
Liverpool have made it to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup where they drew their tie against Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers 0-0 at Anfield earlier this month, which forced a replay due to be played at Ewood Park on 8th April.
A win for Brendan Rodgers’ side will see them play Aston Villa in the semi-final for a spot in the final at Wembley. The FA Cup remains Liverpool’s strongest chance for finishing the season with a trophy.
And Meireles, who was at Sunday’s All-Star Charity Match, feels that Liverpool have it in them to win the prestigious domestic cup.
“I think they can win the cup and they are doing well”, he told LFC TV.

With eight rounds of matches to go, the Reds are currently occupying fifth spot in the league, five points adrift of fourth placed Manchester United, as Rodgers’ men attempt to continue their presence in the Champions League.
And the Portuguese midfielder, who spent the 2010/11 season at Anfield, thinks that Liverpool have the quality in their ranks to finish the season strongly.
“I think the last games are really important and they have the team to do a great job.”
