Memphis Depay's agent has categorically denied that talks are under way to take his client from PSV Eindhoven to Manchester United this coming summer.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is known to be a firm fan of Depay, a player he coached at last summer's World Cup when in charge of the Netherlands.

Depay has been in red hot form for PSV so far this season and it has been claimed in England that the winger is on his way to Old Trafford to link up with Van Gaal once again.

But not so says agent Kees Ploegsma, who insists that he is not in contact with any club over his client.

The agent was quoted as saying by Dutch outlet Voetbal Primeur: "No [talks with Manchester United aren’t under way], there have been many rumours, but he still has a contract with PSV Eindhoven where he now plays.

"We've had no contact with other clubs."

And Ploegsma claims that despite Depay enjoying a good relationship with Van Gaal, his client has not spoken to the veteran Dutch manager since last summer's World Cup.

"They had a good relationship during the World Cup, but since then they have not spoken to each other", the agent added.

Depay has scored an impressive 23 goals in 34 games in all competitions for PSV so far this season and is powering the Eindhoven-based side towards the Eredivisie title, breaking Ajax's stranglehold.
