Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing a move for Lyon striker and Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette in the summer.

Lacazette is the top scorer in the French top flight this season with 23 goals in 26 appearances for Lyon and has been attracting strong interest from clubs across Europe, including England.

Arsenal’s chief scout has already run the rule over the French international and Liverpool and Manchester City are also believed to be keen to take him to England in the summer.

However, the trio of English clubs are set to face stiff competition from French champions PSG, who have been impressed with the 23-year-old’s showing this season.

The Parisians are expected to sell Edinson Cavani in the summer and according to L’Equipe, Lacazette is a strong presence on their shortlist to replace the Uruguayan forward at the Parc des Princes.

It has been claimed that PSG did contact Lyon at the end of last season for the French international and are ready to launch a renewed effort to bring the forward to the French capital this summer.

A centre forward by trade, Lacazette is versatile enough to play on the flanks and PSG feel the striker has the ability to form a potent partnership with their talismanic attacker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, Lyon have maintained that Lacazette is not available on the market and only a large sum of money would convince them to sell a player, whose contract with the club runs until 2018.
