Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to make a summer move for Polish centre-half and Torino captain Kamil Glik, it has been claimed.

With 45 goals conceded this season, Tottenham have the worst defensive record amongst the top ten sides in the Premier League.




Mauricio Pochettino is keen to fix his defence in the transfer market and is looking to add an experienced centre-half to his squad for next season.

Tottenham’s search for an experience defender has taken them to Turin and they are eyeing a summer move for Torino captain Glik.
 


The Poland international joined Torino in the summer of 2012 from Palermo and has been a rock at the back for Giampiero Ventura’s side this season at the Stadio Olimpico.

According to Turin-based daily La Stampa, Spurs are prepared to place a €14m bid on Torino’s table in the summer to take their captain to White Hart Lane at the end of the season.

With seven goals in all competitions this season, Glik also provides a goal threat from set pieces with his 1.90m frame and Pochettino feels the Polish international has the ability to provide experience to his leaky defence next season.

Glik has 126 appearances for Torino and also has 30 international caps to his name for the Polish national team.
