West Ham are considering making an offer for goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano, who is on loan at Sampdoria from Palermo.

Sampdoria have the option to make the move permanent in the summer by paying a fee of around €4.5m, but the club are not willing to fork out that amount of money for the shot-stopper.

Palermo are not willing to accept anything less than the touted figure, therefore Viviano is now expected to be made available in the summer transfer window.

Though Adrian is in fine form, West Ham are expected to be in the market for a goalkeeper at the end of the season and according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Viviano is in their sights.

The 29-year-old is in fine form and Hammers want someone like the Italian at Upton Park who will provide stiff competition to Adrian for the number 1 jersey next season.

The east London club are also believed to be ready to meet Palermo’s financial demands to get the deal done for Viviano at the end of the season.

Viviano’s previous experience of playing in England was at Arsenal, where he spent the entire 2013/14 season on loan without playing a single minute of first team football.
