Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg are looking at the possibility of making a move for striker Javier Hernandez in the summer transfer window, according to German daily Bild.

Hernandez is currently on loan for the season at Real Madrid from Manchester United, but has found first team chances hard to come by at the Bernabeu.

The Mexican hitman recently spoke out about his frustration and desire for regular first team football, explaining the current campaign is his second successive disappointing season after kicking his heels at Manchester United last term.

Now Wolfsburg, who are on course to qualify for next season's Champions League, are pondering a move for Hernandez.

The Wolves brought in free agent Niklas Bendtner last summer, however the Dane has failed to hit the desired heights in the Bundesliga.

Indeed, Bendtner has found the back of the net just once in 16 Bundesliga appearances, while team-mate Bas Dost has been on fire, registering 13 in 14 Bundesliga games.

The Wolves may now look to offload Bendtner in the summer and draft in Hernandez as his replacement.
