Bayern Munich have decided against making a move for Chelsea full-back Branislav Ivanovic and are set to pursue other targets at the end of the season.

The German champions are looking for an alternative to Rafinha, who they are willing to offload in the summer, and it emerged last week that Chelsea’s Ivanovic is one of the names residing on their shortlist.

It was claimed that the Serbian was also interested in a move to the Allianz Arena, but it is emerging that Chelsea are not willing to lose their influential defender at the end of the season.

Therefore, according to Sport Bild, the Bavarians have decided to drop the idea of recruiting Ivanovic and are set to pursue other targets in the summer.

Jose Mourinho considers the Serbian an integral member of his squad and it has been speculated that Chelsea are set to offer a new and improved contract to Ivanovic to prevent his head from turning towards other clubs.
