Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski is determined to mark his return to Signal Iduna Park on Saturday by securing a win for his side.

Lewandowski joined Pep Guardiola’s side at the start of the current season from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer and he has gone on to become the Catalan’s first choice centre-forward.

The Poland international has scored 17 times and he has assisted a further 11 goals in all competitions so far to help the Bavarian giants climb atop the Bundesliga and into the quarter-finals of the Champions League as well as the German Cup.

After the international break, the Bundesliga will resume this weekend and the Bavarian outfit are set to take on Jurgen Klopp’s men on Saturday.

When asked if he is looking forward to the Ruhr visit, Lewandowski answered in the affirmative adding that he will do all within his means to help his side secure all three points.

“Of course!”, he told the Bayern Munich website in an interview.

“I had four good and successful years with Dortmund and I still keep in touch with my former team-mates.

“That doesn’t mean we’re not going there to give it everything and come away with all three points if possible.”
