Inter Milan are ready to step up on their interest in Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure as they prepare an offer to tempt the midfielder to join the club in the summer.

Roberto Mancini has identified the Ivorian midfielder as the club’s primary target and has demanded the Inter hierarchy sign Toure at the end of the season.

Inter are aware of the financial mountain they need to climb to make the deal happen and the club hierarchy are putting in plans in place to lay the foundations for a move for the Manchester City midfielder.

Nerazzurri president Erick Thohir is believed to be ready to invest extra money into the club and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, part of it will be used to tempt Toure to leave the English champions at the end of the season.

It has been claimed that club officials already met Toure’s agent earlier this month and Inter have proposed a five-year contract for the player, but it is not clear how much in wages the Italians are ready to offer to the Ivorian international, who earns around €11m per season at the Etihad.
