A string of Italian clubs are queuing up to offer Benjamin Stambouli an escape route from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The Frenchman only landed at White Hart Lane last summer from Montpellier, but securing regular first team football under Mauricio Pochettino has proven to be a tough task for the midfielder.

Already a number of Italian sides are attentive to the 24-year-old's situation and are pondering moving to snap him up when the transfer window swings back open.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Stambouli is of interest to Fiorentina, Roma and Inter.

Fiorentina have come the closest to moving for the Frenchman, letting Spurs know they are prepared to pay €7m to sign Stambouli.

€7m is thought to be around the sum Spurs splashed out to sign the Frenchman from Montpellier last summer, but it remains to be seen if Pochettino's side are happy to just get their money back for Stambouli.

Stambouli is locked down on a contract with Spurs until the summer of 2019.
