Manchester United and Liverpool linked striker Mauro Icardi has insisted that he would only leave Inter Milan if they decide to sell him.

The Inter striker’s future at the San Siro has been a constant source of speculation for the past few months. but Roberto Mancini is desperate to hold on to the Argentine.




The English duo of Manchester United and Liverpool have been consistently linked with a move for the forward and even Chelsea scouts have run the rule over his performances in recent weeks as their transfer plans for the summer take shape.

Inter have been trying to negotiate a new contract with Icardi and though the club are confident of tying him down to a new deal, nothing has been agreed yet.
 


However, the Nerazzurri have received encouragement from Icardi as the striker stressed that he would only leave Inter if he is pushed out of the club.

“If Inter decide to sell me, I will pack up and go away”, the striker was quoted as saying by Fcinternews.it.

“If not, then I will stay in Milan where I feel comfortable and happy.”

Icardi's current deal with the Nerazzurri runs until the summer of 2018 and his words will be music to Mancini's ears.
