Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sign FC Porto full-back Danilo for a reported transfer fee of around €31.5m.

The Brazilian international has put pen to paper to a six-year deal with Los Blancos and will join the club after completing the season at the Estadio do Dragao.

Real Madrid have worked hard to agree a deal with Porto, who were looking to make the most from the sale of a player who recently knocked back a new contract offer from the club.

The 23-year-old Brazilian was also followed by Manchester United and Manchester City and Barcelona were also trying to have their say in the transfer saga, but ultimately Real Madrid’s persistence paid off.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Real Madrid C. F. and FC Porto have reached an agreement over the transfer of Danilo, he will join the club next season and has a contract until 30 June 2021.”
