Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur have been left impressed after watching Serbia youngster Luka Jovic turn out in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite qualifying round over the recent international break.

Jovic turned heads with his performances in the elite qualifying round, featuring in two of Serbia's three games, playing against the Netherlands and Norway.

The 17-year-old talent was watched by scouts from a number of clubs, with Ajax and Tottenham the two sides left swooning over Jovic, according to Croatian daily Jutarnji List.

Jovic already has a number of suitors with Italian side Fiorentina having lodged an enquiry with his club side Red Star Belgrade, while Atletico Madrid have offered €2.5m to take him to Spain.

Ajax will check up again on Jovic before the end of the season, having chosen to send scouts to Red Star's derby clash against Partizan Belgrade.

The Dutch giants are keen to take the winger, who can also play as a striker, to the Netherlands, seeing great potential in his feet.

Tottenham though may offer opposition to Ajax for the 17-year-old's signature.

It also remains to be seen what fee Red Star will demand to part with their young gem.

Jovic has made 15 appearances in the Serbian SuperLiga so far this season, scoring two goals, while he has also played twice in the Serbian Cup.
