Inter Milan are finalising the details of a new contract for Manchester United and Liverpool linked striker Mauro Icardi.

The Nerazzurri received encouragement from the player when he said yesterday that he is only going to leave the club if Inter decide to sell him and further added that he feels happy in Milan.

Manchester United and Liverpool have long been tracking the forward’s performances at the San Siro and are keen to take him to England at the end of the season.

However, the English duo are set to face disappointment in their chase for Icardi as it seems both the player and the club are ready to extend their association beyond the summer.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Inter are finalising the details of a new contract for Icardi, which will help the club to secure their asset’s future at the club for the long-term.
