Everton striker Romelu Lukaku’s desire to play in the Champions League has given a boost to Juventus, who are keen to sign him at the end of the season.

The Belgian forward features prominently on Juventus’ shortlist of transfer targets and the Italian champions did try to sign him before he joined Everton on a permanent deal last summer.

The Bianconeri are keen to rekindle their interest in Lukaku as they are trying to recruit a new forward for next season and believe the young Belgian is at an ideal age for them to sign him as he will further improve.

While Everton remain reluctant to sell their prized asset, according to Tuttosport, the Belgian striker wants a taste of Champions League football in his career soon.

With the Toffees nowhere close to the European spots in the league, it is believed Lukaku has indicated that he is willing to leave Goodison Park to play in Europe’s elite competition.

The latest development will please the Italian champions as they are perfectly positioned to offer Champions League football to Lukaku, but Everton are expected to play hardball in any negotiations involving the forward in the summer.

Lukaku has recently changed agents and he is current being represented by super agent Mino Raiola, who also has Paul Pogba, Mario Balotelli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his clients.
