Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has given the green light to Liverpool target Ezequiel Lavezzi’s sale this summer.

Even though the PSG hierarchy blocked his sale in the winter window, it has been widely believed the Argentine will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old is not considered indispensable at the Parc des Princes and given UEFA's financial fair play rules, PSG have been linked with offloading him to free up space on their wage bill.

According Le Parisien, the PSG president has finally given his approval to Lavezzi’s sale and it is now almost certain that the Argentine is on his way out of the French capital.

With his contract expiring at the end of next season, PSG are looking to earn around €15m for a player for whom they paid around €30m to Napoli for in the summer of 2012.

Liverpool have been tracking developments regarding Lavezzi since last summer and may be ready to push the accelerator if and when he becomes available over the course of the next few months.

However, Inter are also in the race for a player who made 156 Serie A appearances for Napoli during his five-season stay at the club.
