Udinese striker Antonio Di Natale has revealed that given a choice between Barcelona striker Neymar and Arsenal talisman Alexis Sanchez, he would choose the latter.

Sanchez and Neymar played together at Barcelona under manager Gerardo Martino during the 2013/14 season, which was the Brazilian’s first season at the club and it turned out be the Chilean’s last at the Camp Nou.

Both forwards have enjoyed stupendous campaigns with their respective sides this term. Neymar has scored 26 goals and assisted a further eight to help the Catalan giants atop La Liga, reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the final of the Spanish Cup.

On the other hand, Sanchez has netted 20 goals and provided 11 assists to help the Gunners climb to second in the Premier League and into the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Di Natale, who is the seventh highest goalscorer in the Italian Serie A and a former team-mate of Sanchez, has said that although the two South Americans are equally matched, given a choice between the two he would pick the Chilean.

“They’re both wonderful players, who play talismanic roles for top club sides”, the veteran told Arsenal’s website in an interview.

“When you’re talking about players at that level, it’s always difficult to say who’s better.

“If I was a coach, I’d love to have both of them in my team.

“But if I had to choose one, I’d choose Alexis: because he’s a little more ‘concrete’ than the Brazilian.”
