Feyenoord have officially slapped a contract offer in front of Celtic striker John Guidetti, despite concerns they may not be able to satisfy the Swede's salary demands.

Guidetti's contract with Manchester City, the club he is under contract to and on loan at Celtic from, expires in the summer and Feyenoord are desperate to snap up the 22-year-old.




And they have now made their first concrete move to do so, putting an official contract offer to Guidetti, according to Dutch magazine Voetbal International.

 


The Eredivisie outfit are now waiting for Guidetti's response, though are aware that the Swede is wanted by other clubs.

Celtic are keen to keep Guidetti on a permanent basis, with the striker having impressed during his time at the Scottish champions.

French giants Marseille meanwhile have been scouting Guidetti, while Inter are also thought to be monitoring his situation in Scotland.

Feyenoord recently secured Dirk Kuyt for next season, the Dutchman will arrive at De Kuip when his deal with Fenerbahce expires in the summer.

And the Eredivisie outfit would love to pair Kuyt up with Guidetti.
