Gonzalo Higuain is set to consider his future at Napoli if the club do not qualify for the Champions League next season, something which is sure to place a number of clubs on alert, including Arsenal and Liverpool, who have both been linked with the Argentine.

Rafael Benitez's Napoli have slipped well off the pace for a top three Champions League qualifying spot in Serie A in recent months and now find themselves seven points off third placed Roma, with just eight games left to play.

Napoli could still qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League, however if they do miss out on Europe's top tier competition, Higuain will consider his future, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

Arsenal famously missed out on Higuain when he left Real Madrid and plumped for Napoli, and have continued to be linked with the Argentine, along with Liverpool.

In Spain, both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have been raised as possibilities for Higuain and should the striker push to leave Napoli in the summer, he will not be short of offers.
