Bayern Munich are keeping a close watch on Atletico Madrid’s French international winger Antoine Griezmann.

The Frenchman joined the Spanish champions from Real Sociedad last summer on six-year contract for a transfer fee of €30m.

The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the main creative outlets of Diego Simeone’s resilient Atletico Madrid team and has scored 21 goals in all competitions for the club this season.

Though he has not even played one full season at the Vicente Calderon, there is speculation that he is being watched by some of the top clubs across Europe.

According to Sport Bild, Bayern Munich have been keeping a close watch on the 24-year-old and they see him as a future first team player at the Allianz Arena.

However, with more than five years left on his contract, Bayern Munich are unlikely to place a bid for him in the summer and are willing to wait a while longer before making a move for him in the future.

Bayern Munich are scouting players who can replace their ageing stars Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben in the first eleven and Griezmann features prominently on their shortlist.

The 24-year-old was named in Didier Deschamps’ French squad for last summer’s World Cup and has earned eleven caps for Les Bleus.
