Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind feels that his side will be among the favourites for the Premier League title next season, saying that a club of the Red Devils’ stature are always in the running for trophies.

Blind arrived at Old Trafford at the start of the current season from Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax on the back of stellar displays for the Netherlands national team at the World Cup in Brazil last summer.

And in his inaugural campaign in the Premier League, the versatile midfielder, who is equally adept at playing as a left-back, has gone on to make 20 league appearances for Louis van Gaal’s team. The 25-year-old’s two goals and three assists have helped the Red Devils climb to third spot in the table.

After a slow start to their season, Manchester United have gone on a six-match winning spree which included a comprehensive 4-2 win over reigning English champions Manchester City last weekend.

And Blind feels that the 20-time English champions will be among the favourites for the league title next season.
