PSV Eindhoven legend Willy van der Kuijlen wants Memphis Depay to insist that any club that buys him this summer instantly loans him back to the Dutch club for next season.

Depay looks all but set to quit PSV in the summer transfer window and has been tipped as a primary target for Manchester United, whose manager Louis van Gaal he played under at last summer's World Cup with the Netherlands.

The winger has also seen his name mentioned in connection with Liverpool and PSV appear to be fighting a losing battle to keep him at the club.

But PSV legend Van der Kuijlen believes that Depay would hugely benefit from another season spent at the Philips Stadion and has advised the youngster to demand another campaign on loan in the Netherlands.

The former attacking midfielder told Voetbal International: "If I was Memphis I'd stay another season.

"For me he is already going to strike a deal with a top club, but he should ask whether it is possible to play for at least another year in Eindhoven", Van der Kuijlen added.

Depay has been in sublime form for PSV this season and is powering the club to the Eredivisie title, dethroning Ajax in the process.

The 21-year-old has scored 25 goals in all competitions for PSV so far this season in 36 games, along with providing six assists.
