La Liga giants Sevilla are battling Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Ukraine international winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.

The Ukrainian is out of contract with current club Dnipro in the summer and is expected to move on to pastures new.

He has no shortage of suitors and Sevilla are at the front of the queue negotiating for his signature, but face opposition from Liverpool and Tottenham, according to Seville-based daily Estadio Deportivo.

Sevilla sporting director Monchi has  taken charge of the negotiations and is working overtime to ensure that Konoplyanka ends up in Spain.

Liverpool came agonisingly close to signing the Ukraine star in January 2014, but Dnipro's president vetoed the deal at the last minute.

Tottenham were also linked with the winger at the time, but Konoplyanka's decision to see out his contract with Dnipro has made him an even more attractive proposition.

Roma tried to sign him for a cut price in the winter window this year, but failed and switched their attention to Chelsea's Mohamed Salah to replace Juan Cuadrado.
