Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia believes Palermo striker and Manchester United and Liverpool target Paulo Dybala would do well with the Nerazzurri if he joins the club in the summer.

It is almost certain that the Argentine forward will leave Palermo at the end of the season after failing to agree terms over a new contract.

It has been speculated that Dybala wants to continue in Italy, which has put Juventus in pole position for his signature, but there is heavy interest in the player from England, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool having been widely suggested to be interested in acquiring his services.

Inter have also kept tabs on Dybala’s situation at Palermo, but their precarious financial position has made them the underdogs in the race.

However, Ranocchia feels Dybala would do well if he joins Inter. But he added that it is up to the club hierarchy to make decisions on player recruitment.

“He is a very talented player and he would do well here”, the defender told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

“However, the coach [Roberto Mancini] and the president [Erick Thohir] decide on how to invest on the team.”

Palermo hierarchy’s €40m asking price for Dybala continues to play a major hurdle in negotiations. While Italian clubs are not willing to pay such a high fee, the English clubs are also taking their time to think before making a move.
