Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that he intends to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu next season and also sees club captain Iker Casillas staying put at the club.

Following an inconsistent run of form since the turn of the year, there has been increasing speculation about the Italian’s future at the club. Casillas too, has drawn the ire of the Santiago Bernabeu faithful after a series of suspect displays in goal.

Talking at a pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Malaga, the three-time Champions League winning manager has revealed that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid.

“I see myself here at Real Madrid next season, with Casillas and with all of the others who are doing a good job”, he was quoted as saying by AS.

“It’s not an important question at this point in time. We are focused on what we need to do.”

Asked if he regrets not rotating his personnel as excessive playing time appears to be taking its toll on his players, the 55-year-old said that he doesn’t regret his decisions.

“I don’t regret not rotating.”

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s opponents, Ancelotti said that he expects a tough game against Malaga, who have troubled both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid this season.

“It’s a dangerous game for us; Malaga did well against Atletico and beat Barcelona.

“We’ve taken that on board and we’ll need to exert the maximum energy possible to beat them.”
