Chelsea have reassured Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem that their collaboration will not be affected if the Blues sign a partnership deal with Royal Mouscron-Peruwelz.

The current Premier League leaders are in discussions with the Belgian top tier side to set up an arrangement which would see Chelsea players shipped to Belgium on loan, while the brightest talents at Mouscron-Peruwelz would be on the radar at Stamford Bridge.

Vitesse currently enjoy a similar relationship with Chelsea and have benefited from a number of players heading to the Netherlands on loan, boosting their Eredivisie chances.

There have been concerns at Vitesse, but Chelsea are keen to stress that their interest in working with the Belgian club changes nothing.

A Chelsea spokesman told Omroep Gelderland: "We collaborate closely with Vitesse, as we do with many other clubs, and we expect that to continue."
