Tottenham Hotspur Under-21 manager Ugo Ehiogu feels that the league title is still a possibility as they prepare to host Liverpool in an important Under-21 Premier League fixture at White Hart Lane tonight.

The young Lilywhites, currently placed sixth in the league table, are winless in their last four matches and are desperate to get back to winning ways as they hope to improve on their current league standings.

The difference between the first seven teams in the Under-21 stage is just five points, a fact that makes Ehiogu optimistic.

As a matter of fact, a win at home against the Merseyside outfit tonight would take Ehigou's side back to second place in the table, and the manager insists that his team will do everything to ensure a win against the strong Liverpool Under-21 side.

In spite of having lost against the same opponents last time around, the 42-year-old feels that it would be nice to win this one and say that their philosophy worked better than their opponents this time around.

“Any game against Liverpool is competitive, they beat us last time out and we always want to match our players against theirs”, Ehiogu told his club's official website.

"The teams have a similar philosophy, similar ways of doing things and it would be nice to say ours was better this time in the in performance and result.”

The manager also took time to laud the efforts from his players this time around, insisting that the title challenge is far from over.

“It’s been a wonderful effort so far from this group of players.

“We’re still in contention with six or seven genuine title contenders and we’ve said if we win four out of five we have a real chance."
