Dnipro executive director Andriy Rusol has revealed that the club have offered Liverpool and Tottenham target Yevhen Konoplyanka a new contract and are hoping that the winger stays with them beyond the summer.

The 25-year-old’s contract with the Ukrainian outfit runs out at the end of the season and he is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Konoplyanka’s future at the club has been a constant source of speculation since last summer and a number of clubs were interested in signing him in the winter window too, but the player stayed put at Dnipro.

Sevilla have recently joined the race for the Dnipro winger and are pushing hard to take him to Spain in the summer but they will face stiff competition from the English duo of Liverpool and Tottenham, who have been on his trail for a number of months now; Liverpool see Konoplyanka as an alternative to PSV Eindhoven's Memphis Depay.

However, Dnipro's executive director doesn’t expect the transfer saga to solve itself before the summer and said that they are hoping to see Konoplyanka sign a new contract already placed on his table.

“Nothing to be finalised until the summer”, Rusol was quoted as saying by Seville-based daily Estadio Deportivo.

“We have offered a new contract to Yevhen and now it is up to him to contemplate.

“Personally, I hope he accepts the offer and keeps playing for us.”
