Paris Saint-Germain are keen to wait for other clubs to get involved in the race for Juventus target Edinson Cavani’s signature.

It was claimed earlier today that Juventus have agreed a €45m deal with the French champions for the Uruguayan striker and have also agreed personal terms with Cavani.

However, the negotiations are still on and PSG have not yet ratified any deal to sell the player to the Italian champions at the end of the season.

It has been claimed that deal between the clubs will touch the €50m mark and Cavani still has to lower his wage demands by around 10% to 15% for Juventus to afford him.

However, according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, PSG are prepared to play the waiting game over Cavani and want more clubs to get involved in the negotiations to drive up his price.

PSG are aware that with clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester United interested in acquiring Cavani’s services, they can afford to drag their feet while dealing with Juventus.

However, the Bianconeri want to close out the deal as soon as possible as they are aware they might not be able to compete with the financial muscle of the English clubs.
