Arsenal legend Martin Keown feels that Brendan Rodgers did not get the best out of his Liverpool side today against Aston Villa.

Liverpool went down to a 2-1 defeat in their FA Cup semi-final tie against Tim Sherwood's men at Wembley, with Rodgers frantically making tactical changes as Aston Villa bossed the game and emerged deserved winners.

Liverpool did have a late Mario Balotelli effort wrongly ruled out for offside, but could have little complaint as Aston Villa enjoyed the better of the match.

And Keown believes that Rodgers did not get the best out of his Liverpool players, with the team looking confused at times.

The ex-Arsenal defender told the BBC: "Liverpool looked confused today.
