Tottenham Hotspur have announced their starting line-up and substitutes to play Newcastle United at St. James' Park this afternoon in a Premier League clash.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino throws the captain's armband to Jan Vertonghen, who teams up in defence with Federico Fazio, Eric Dier and Danny Rose. Nabil Bentaleb and Paulinho are selected in midfield, along with Nacer Chadli, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen.
Spurs trust in the prolific Harry Kane to score the goals today against the Magpies, though Roberto Soldado is on the bench if needed at any point during the 90 minutes. Also on the bench are Ryan Mason and Andros Townsend.
Currently Tottenham sit seventh in the Premier League table and victory would push the side up to sixth in the hunt for a European spot. Pochettino's men have 54 points from 32 games to their name so far.
