Inter are interested in signing Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic in the summer but are wary of the Potters’ asking price for him.

Roberto Mancini is believed to be looking to offload Sami Handanovic at the end of the season and therefore signing a goalkeeper in the summer remains a priority for the Inter boss.

Stoke goalkeeper Begovic features prominently on the shortlist of shot-stoppers on whom Inter are keeping tabs on at the moment.

The 27-year-old has been previously linked with a move to Manchester United but Stoke have so far resisted the chance to sell one of their top performers.

Inter are keen to get their hands on the Bosnia-Herzegovina international but according to Gazzetta dello Sport, they are wary of the financial demands of Stoke, who are asking the top price for their goalkeeper.

The Potters have slapped an asking price of around €14m on Begovic but the Nerazzurri are unwilling to part with that amount of money for a player whose contract expires next summer.

While Inter remain interested, Stoke need to lower their demands for Begovic or the Italians will move on to pursue other targets.
