Palermo striker Paulo Dybala’s agent has claimed his client won’t leave the club for a transfer fee less than €50m, €10m more than the fee which it had been claimed the Italian side are looking for.

Dybala is expected to leave the club at the end of the season but the speculation surrounding the fee has been one of the main themes of the transfer saga.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has repeatedly claimed that he won’t allow the forward to leave the club for anything less than €40m, which has put Juventus, who are believed to be in pole position to land him in the summer, on the back foot.

The English trio of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have also been tracking the Argentine striker but are yet to meet Zamparini’s asking price for the 21-year-old.

However, Gustavo Mascardi, Dybala’s agent, has claimed that even the figure of €40m won’t be enough to sign his client at the end of the season.

He claimed that Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have already made offers that exceeded the previously quoted figure but Palermo are not willing to sell Dybala for anything less than €50m.

“PSG came forward with an offer of €45m and Chelsea were ready to pay €40m”, Mascardi told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Now the price cannot be less than €50m.

“Paulo is in no hurry and will make his choice in a calm manner.”
