Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that he is keen to see out his contract with the Bavarians, in spite of reports linking him with a move to Manchester City.

The 44-year-old's contract with the German giants end in June next year but it was widely reported that the former Barcelona manager might replace Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium after a dismal 2014/15 season for the Premier League champions.

However, the man himself has now confirmed that he would not be interested in any move away from the Allianz Arena in the near future and will see out his contract.

"My future is: Wednesday free, Thursday training, and, of course, next year to be here. That's my future", Guardiola was quoted as saying by the BBC.

The Spaniard has been successful for Bayern Munich, having won three major tournaments, namely the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal and the UEFA Super Cup during his first year in charge of the club.

His team are also on course to win their third consecutive Bundesliga title this season, having developed a 12 point lead at the top with five matches left to be played.

However, stressing the need to keep on winning trophies while being at the helm of a club like Bayern Munich, Guardiola added: "This is a big club, so you can't say we are in a cosy situation.

"If you win, you're a genius. If you lose, you have lots of problems, but that's the nature of my job.

"I know which club I am at, it isn't enough to win the Bundesliga and the cup.

"Only a treble is enough for a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern, but I am proud to be here with these players."
