Manchester City midfielder David Silva has resumed training with the Citizens' squad following his injury against West Ham United on Sunday, indicating that he could be in action this weekend.

Silva went off injured after an incident with Cheikhou Kouyate at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. After eight minutes of on-field treatment, he was stretchered off amidst fears of having suffered grave injury.




But the Spain international has returned to training with the Citizens this morning and could return to first team action this weekend.

The 29-year-old gave an update on his injury through his Twitter account.
 


“Many thanks to all the messages of support, all the tests have gone well and I'm already home”, he wrote.
