Ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash against Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has acknowledged that his side face an onerous task to topple the Catalans, but he is banking on Zlatan Ibrahimovic to make the difference.

PSG head into the second leg at the Camp Nou after succumbing to a 3-1 defeat at the Parc des Princes last week and therefore they face the difficult task of overhauling the Catalan giants’ advantage in order to progress to the semi-finals.

And Blanc has no illusions about the difficulty of the task his side have at hand. He insists that his side have the potential to score goals, but doubts their ability to peg Barcelona back.

“We all know the task is extremely difficult”, he was quoted as saying by UEFA.

“Our problem is that we have to score goals, though I do believe we will have plenty of chances.

“We have a small chance of winning but it's practically impossible not to concede against Barcelona.”

PSG had to contend with the absence of their talisman Ibrahimovic in the first leg owing to his dismissal in the previous round, but the Swede will be available for tonight’s clash and Blanc is banking on the prolific goalscorer to make the difference tonight.

“We have nothing to lose and Ibra likes that kind of match.

“He has been training every day and even if he's not playing, he's in great form at the moment.

“He is well rested which is good for future games.”
