French midfielder Giannelli Imbula, who has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea, is in no hurry to leave Marseille any time soon.

The 22-year-old Frenchman has been at Marseille since the summer of 2013 and has been turning heads with his performances in the French top flight.

Schooled at Guingamp’s youth academy, Chelsea did try to sign the midfielder before he joined Marseille and it is believed that the Blues have not lost hope of snapping him up in the future.

Arsenal have also been tracking the midfielder’s exploits with Marseille and are known admirers of his talents. With the English duo interested in acquiring his services, Imbula is aware of his popularity in the transfer market.

However, the midfielder stressed that he is happy at Marseille for the time being and has no plans to make a move away from the Stade Velodrome in the near future.

“I had a difficult first year but it has been much better this season.

“I still have two years to spend here and I hope it will only get better for me from here.”
