Feyenoord have been left waiting by John Guidetti, not having heard from the Celtic striker for well over a week.

The Rotterdam side recently made an official contract offer to Guidetti and although it fell well short of his demands, it has not been rejected or accepted.

The contract, worth €20,000 per week, was lodged with the striker's agent Paul Martin – but Feyenoord have received no official response.

Indeed, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, Guidetti and his representatives have not been back in touch with Feyenoord at all.

The Dutch giants are now increasingly ready to move on to other options if they do not hear anything from the striker soon.

Feyenoord have already signed club favourite Dirk Kuyt for next season and the former Liverpool forward will arrive at De Kuip when his contract with Turkish outfit Fenerbahce expires in the summer.

They are keen to pair him with Guidetti, but the Swede is thought to be waiting for a more lucrative offer from another club, with up to €60,000 per week having been mooted as his salary demands.
