Celtic manager Ronny Deila has said that his side are focused on winning their remaining games to secure the league title as soon as possible.

The Hoops are eight points clear of second placed Aberdeen and appear strong favourites to win their fourth successive league title.

They have already secured the League Cup after defeating Dundee United 2-0 in the final last month and winning the domestic title will give Deila two trophies in his inaugural campaign in Scottish football.

If the Hoops win their next three games – against Dundee United, Dundee and Aberdeen, then irrespective of the results of their rivals, Deila’s men will secure the Premiership.

And the Norwegian has urged his men to keep going full throttle until they secure the title.

“If we just keep continuing to win and if Aberdeen keep winning that’s the first chance to do it, but we have been good to focus on the next game and we did well on Wednesday to get through that game”, Deila told his club’s site.

“We have another important game on Sunday and you can see it getting closer but also the games are getting bigger.”

Celtic will look to secure all three points when they play Dundee United in their next league fixture on Sunday and thereby take another step towards the league title.
