Leeds United legend Eddie Gray feels that the dressing room at Elland Road is not a happy place after the injury debacle that gripped the club last week.

One week ago today, Leeds boss Neil Redfearn was confronted with six players declaring themselves injured before the club's trip to face Charlton Athletic.

Marco Silvestri, Giuseppe Bellusci, Dario Del Fabro, Souleymane Doukara, Mirco Antenucci and Edgar Cani all declared themselves unfit to play against the Addicks, despite Redfearn believing all six would be fit and available.

Leeds as a club issued a statement insisting the six had genuine injuries, while Silvestri's father indicated some of the players were staging a protest of some sort.

Club legend Trevor Cherry called for all six to be sacked, while Redfearn said he must take the group at their word.

For Gray, the fallout surrounding the event means that the dressing room is not likely to be 100 per cent happy.

"The way things have come out, i.e. through the media and the press, I can't see it being a 100 per cent happy camp. For whatever reasons", Gray told LUTV.

"I think the boys that were injured, and if players say they are injured you have to take it at face value that they are injured, I don't think they'll be too happy with how things have come out and things that have been said in the press.

"I think it makes it difficult for everybody, for Neil, the players, the medical staff as well. "

Earlier this week Leeds indicated that both Bellusci and Cani will miss the rest of the campaign.
