Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has been nominated for PFA’s Fans’ Player of the Month award for April.

Ozil has enjoyed a great run of form this month, playing a major part in helping the Gunners attain their current second spot in the Premier League.

The Germany international also provided two assists for Alexis Sanchez in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Reading in their FA Cup semi-final tie that secured their passage to the final for the second year running.

He also scored from a free-kick in the 4-1 demolition of Liverpool in the league that put a big dent in the Champions League qualification hopes of the Merseyside giants.

Along with Ozil, Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke, Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie, Leicester City midfielder Esteban Cambiasso, Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard and Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera are in the running for the award.
