Real Madrid have the option to buy Javier Hernandez on a permanent deal from Manchester United this summer for a transfer fee of around €10m.

Hernandez’s future at the club received a new fillip when he scored a late winner against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday to book Real Madrid’s place in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

However, it was only his sixth goal of the season and only in his seventh start for the Los Blancos. Many believe the forward will be looking for a new club as he is neither wanted at the Santiago Bernabeu or at his parent club, Manchester United.

But Real Madrid have the option of signing him on a permanent deal this summer and according to AS it will cost them around €10m to make it happen.

The European champions paid €2.5m to Manchester United to sign him on a loan deal last summer and also agreed to pay half of his salary, which amounts to €3m.
