Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has bemoaned his side conceding two "easy" goals against Southampton today at St. Mary's Stadium in a 2-2 Premier League draw.

Spurs fell behind in the 29th minute when Graziano Pelle struck for the home side, taking advantage of a defensive mistake to slot the ball into the back of the net.

But Erik Lamela drew Spurs level two minutes before half time, diverting the ball into the back of the net with his arm.

Pelle though put the Saints ahead again in the 65th minute, powering a header into the goal.

But Spurs would not leave St. Mary's empty handed and Nacer Chadli drew them level again in the 70th minute; 2-2 was how it finished, with no further goals.

Pochettino felt that his side acquitted themselves well, but were guilty of conceding sloppy goals against the Saints.

He told Spurs TV: "I’m a little disappointed because we conceded two easy goals and we made a mistake for the first goal, we need to improve on that.

"After that, we managed the game well, had 60 per cent possession of the ball and we have to recognise it was a tough game at Southampton.

"For me, it was also an emotional game but I say congratulations to the players because it was a difficult match, we were down twice and to come back twice showed character", he continued.

"Also, our supporters were brilliant again."
