Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes his star man Eden Hazard deserves to be a Premier League champion this season.

Hazard has been in scintillating form for Chelsea this term and has played a starring role in their title charge with his match winning performances.

His goal against Manchester United in a cagey game last weekend pushed Chelsea one step closer to the Premier League title and Mourinho feels Hazard is overcoming all the odds in the last stretch of the season to push the team as he is desperate to win the league title for the Blues.

The Chelsea boss revealed that if they finally win the league title this season then he has no qualms in admitting that Hazard has spearheaded their campaign.

And he believes lifting the title would be more important for the Belgian than any words of praise or individual awards.

“I feel with him [there is] a great motivation to win the title. When you have great motivations you go over fatigue, over pain”, Mourinho told the club’s official website.

“If we win the title he knows that he was fundamental in the team’s season. This is what he deserves. He deserves to be champion.

“The title is what gives you more credit. It's not the individual awards, it's not the comments from the pundits or the former stars.”

Chelsea will more or less seal the title if they bag all three points in their trip to Arsenal later today.
